Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients

  • 4 Leafs of Romaine Lettuce
  • 4 Leafs of Iceberg Lettuce
  • 16 Cherry Tomatoes Sliced in half
  • 2 Slices of Red Onion 3/8" thick
  • 3 Pickles Chopped Chunky
  • Thousand Island Dressing
  • 1 lb 80/20 Ground Beef
  • Cheese- Cheddar or American
  • 4 pinch Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • Form your 1/3 or 1/2 lb hamburger patties as shown in the video or to your liking.
  • Prepare the salad base with the romaine and iceberg lettuce cut or torn slightly larger than you would for a normal salad. Arrange on a dinner plate as the base for your salad.
  • Slice your cherry or grape tomatoes in half. Use as many or as few as you like. Add the salad
  • Slice your pickles to be fairly chunky. You can use any type of pickle you prefer. Add to salad. Refrigerate the plates until about 5 minutes before you are ready to eat.
  • Slice two rings of onion from a red onion. Do not break them apart. Prepare them for the grill with some olive oil and sea salt.
  • Slice cheese for each patty to your taste. If you want a lot then make it thicker and vice versa
  • Grill your patty and onion at high heat on the grill until desired doneness is achieved. DO NOT cook to rare or rare plus. Medium is about the minimum for best results. Too well done will not be as good either. Remove from heat and let rest 3 to 5 minutes
  • Slice up red onion and add to your salad. Dress the salad with thousand island dressing before placing the cheeseburger patty in the center of the plate. Slice the patty with a sharp knife into cubes and eat
